The five days of Dubai fashion week 2010 was full of enthusiasm and creativity in alliance with the advantageous business opportunities. The collections by Pakistani designer Hassan Sheheryar Yasin won the award for Best Haute Couture. Sashes with big bows and muted gold studs gave the all-black dress an ultramodern twist. Many designers displayed their gown collections made in lace and satin and pleated dresses. Hind Beljafla and Reem kicked off the conservative abaya and added a shot of glamor to it.

Sobia Nazir, one of the most outstanding fashion designers of Pakistan, always rocks the runway with her spectacular subtle floral embroidery collections. Bisma Ahmed, a renowned fashion designer, won the Emerging Talent Competition on 6^th April 2010 during Dubai Fashion Week. Her creativity has no boundaries, and coming from a multi- cultural background, she is able to integrate several diverse elements into her designs. A popular regional store, Hanayen kicked off Dubai Fashion Week with an exclusive collections of sheilas and abayas. One abaya had silver threads that emphasized the shoulder, while another had chiffon sleeves with exquisite floral print. Dubai fashion week is all about head turning collections!!
