Kohl is used for curative purposes, some people believe Kohl to be protective against sun’s sharp glare in desert. Kohl is also used as a protective measure from evils.

Youth and students sport short hairs and hairstyles .Many middle-aged women wear a head scarf or hijab. Women do not wear head scarfs as implemented in college campus or at business oriented places, they wear it as a sense of modesty to their religious belief. In secular countries a head scarf is worn with some of the hairs at the crown of the head to give a stylish look.

Young men out there in Middle East choose not to have facial hairs to change their appearance. In few secular countries such as Turkey hairs are left open casually.
